i like to go on a drive.
but when i have time,
i like to write.
Tethered to a small notebook in a dimly lit bedroom, I wrote at night before bed, when the city outside went quiet and my thoughts grew the loudest. From those quiet nights came three things I love: martini, dim sum, and my moleskine notebook.
My story starts in a small Hong Kong apartment…

obvi i was not sipping cocktails underage haha. but as i grew older, i fell in love with cocktail nights. they aren’t just drinks to me, they’re conversation starters, jazz-lit confessions at midnight, the sweetness of treating and being treated. life, like a martini, is best savored in curiosity: a little sweetness, a little bite, and the quiet intimacy of truly knowing someone across the bar. that’s my attitude toward life and what i write about mine. to stay curious, genuine, and always willing to know someone more deeply.

dim sum is more than food to me. it’s a love language. it is the sweetness of offering a seat, always pouring tea for someone first, and knowing love doesn’t always need grand gestures. sometimes it’s just warm dumplings passed across the table in a room, the joy of ordering too much and sharing it all, surrounded by friends and family.

my pen and paper, where data meets storytelling.
i’ve always loved stories, whether in films, art, statistics, or the news. when i discovered data at the intersection of analysis and narrative, i knew it was the right path for me. writing, in the same way, gives me the space to turn fragments into meaning and add a personal touch. and in the age of ai, i believe storytelling is not just valuable, but essential. it’s how we make sense of complexity and stay connected as humans.
Since turning 22, I’ve been thinking about how to keep my passion for writing alive, how to make my younger self proud that she still writes, still lets her creativity spill freely onto the page. And so, here we are: chompdomps, a small corner of the internet for me to write, just because I love to.
In this space is a collection of journal entries that I wrote throughout my time in college and as I navigate through adulthood, along with my favorite art + literature + thoughts + photos. Writing has always been an essential outlet for me. It’s a way to gather my thoughts and process the complexities in life.
I wanted this to be super simple. Light background, black texts—as unfiltered as it can be, like an extension of myself.
Take this as food for thought, as leisure readings, or if you came here from some random lurking, welcome! I simply hope this page is proof of my life—proof that I have lived.
